Aracaju House

The idea seeks to adapt a residential unit into a narrow and entirely flat plot, conceived to respond to the most varied demands and uses of its dwellers, and respecting the implantation space and the surrounding buildings. The architects incorporated strategies of sustainability to take advantage of the dominant ventilation and local natural lighting.

In the front facade the Casa Ipê adopts a strategy of creating a “fake wall” of bricks, distanced from the real masonry closure. It thus creates a protection against solar radiation and allows ventilation inside the building, reducing the thermal load on the residence.
